Billy Elliot the Musical Live was number one at the UK cinema box office weekend of Sept 27/28, 2014
On 28th September Billy Elliot the Musical Live was screened to cinemas across eight countries, including an amazing 554 cinemas across the UK and Ireland. Elliott Hanna took to the stage as Billy Elliot, joined by Liam Mower – the first boy ever to play the role of Billy Elliot on stage when the show opened in 2005 – who made a special return appearance to the show in the role of Older Billy. Liam was also one of twenty five former and current Billys who took to the stage at the end of the show for a special ‘mash-up’ finale which brought the house down.
Billy Elliot the Musical Live will be available to own on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD from November 24. Billy Elliot the Musical Live will be screened in further countries around the world. Keep an eye on dates as they are announced. Take a look at our gallery for some photos from the day.
